The four key reasons to create online communities are;
1. Knowledge sharing. This means breaking down the silos of knowledge across a program, an organisation or an ecosystem.
2. Alignment - when everyone is 'pulling in the same direction' the program moves with agility.
3. Ideation - creativity and ideas don't always show themselves in a strategy session. In a community ideas are shared, improved on, iterated, etc.
4. Impact - which results when the above are in place
