The Legacy of Inequality: The "Two Systems"
The Challenge:
We effectively have two school systems: well-resourced urban schools and under-resourced township/rural schools. This disparity is historical and geographical. A child in a rural school is often fighting isolation from the "knowledge economy," lacking access to the specialised teachers and materials found in affluent areas.
The Solution: "The Village Bridges the Gap"
- Digital Democratisation: A Better Africa acts as a bridge. A teacher in a rural school can access the same lesson plans, exam papers, and leadership insights as a teacher in a top-tier school.
- Cross-Pollination: We encourage "resource mentoring," where experienced principals share their blueprints for school governance with those in developing schools. We stop waiting for the system to equalise funding and start equalising wisdom.
