Since the conceptualisation and development of the CSTL Framework and accompanying Handbook more than a decade ago, the school eco-system, socio-economic and socio- educational landscape of South Africa have significantly evolved.
The DBE, supported by the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) is currently supporting districts with workshops aimed at revitalising CSTL output and its structures. The envisioned workshops intend to address and outline the changes in the CSTL landscape and 10 CSTL priority pillars which require multiple co-operation and stakeholders to address the many socio-educational barriers that affect teaching and learning.
