On the 26 of April we at Waterworks Primary school celebrated freedom day as it is important in our South African country,in rememberance of our fallen heroes who fought against the apartheid regime for us to live free and fair with no oppression...Learners gathered at a assembly point where we all stood up with respect and sang our national anthem"Nkosi sinkeleli Africa".
Learners as well as myself including the teachers of our school were given a briefing about this special day we enjoyed ourselves wen we was listening to Mrs Modise telling us about the importance of Freedom day,one learner was asked about what the colours in the national flag of South Africa symbolises. She then stand up in front of everyone and explain to us its symbolism it is good and exciting to see that a grade 4 learner knows the symbolic of our country and the coat of arms....Waterworks Primary school had a fantastic day ahead as we even rembered Tata Nelson Mandela and other fallen heroes.....
