We explore some of the ways in which you can help your child to read with understanding.
Sometimes children can read words even though they don’t know what the words mean. Reading for meaning (or with understanding) means that the child knows what the word means and can use it in a sentence.
Encouraging a child to read not only helps them to perform well at school, it also helps to boost their confidence.
