My Name is Nelisa Simons (Qalinge).

I am a Teacher Assistant at Philipstown High School

This is my update for quater 1 of 2024.

In Quater 1 we completed the following activities on the Spell2read2write programme:

Identifying the priority learners in Grade 8 and 9, and we also did alot of reading. Spell2read2write made it possible for us to take part in online courses which were very educational to us and it made us learn so much more.

We were sent videos that we had to do with the learners which were vowel songs and aphabets to help them to be able to write sentences using good spelling and grammar.

Highlights were seeing improvement in reading and pronounciation, some of the learners started to gain confidence  in reading in  a whole class, because we made them understand that we are here to help them in what they are struggling with.
