Quarter 1 Report March 2024

My name is Kelly Hoon. I am the Teacher Assistant at Hanover Primary School. This is my update for Quarter 1 of 2024.
In Quarter 1, I completed the following activities of the spell2read2write programme.
1. The ORF test.
2. Cursive Writing.
3. Vowels and Consonants.
4. Alison Course.
The highlights for Quarter 1 was that I enjoyed the Alison course and found it to be very helpful and educational, meaning that I have learned what it means to become an inspirational leader. It has helped me on how to build decision-making skills. I have also enjoyed working with the learners and doing the video's with them. The challenges for the Quarter was the fact that I struggled doing the Alison courses due to the duties that the teacher's gave me and due to the fact that I sometimes had to look after a class because of the teacher being absent.
In the next quarter I will be focusing on reading activities. Story 1, 2 and 3. Comprehension- 1)The hare and the tortoise. 2) Mandu's running shoes. 3) There's a monster in my cupboard. 4)Winning isn't everything and 5)How to be a superhero. I will also do the Schonell Spelling Test.
