Name : Simbongile Mlenzana

I am a teacher assistant at Ethembeni Senior secondary

This is my update for quarter 1

In quarter 1 we completed the following spell 2 read to write programmes

We did some priority packs with the learners that consisted of the following

We did some writing exercises

Reading with our learners

Identifying difficulties that our priority learners have

We were also tasked with some Allison assessments

That consisted of 4 main assessments

The highlights of this quarter were seeing our learners improving with their reading and their writing, my highlights were also being tasked with Alison assessments and being empowered with new skills.

Challenges I found were sometimes we were struggling with our learners with reading and not having enough resources

In the next quarter i will be focusing on the following mainly reading of learners and doing what's necessary to improve our learner
