BACKGROUND
A Better Africa Foundation (registered in South Africa as Spell It Tutoring) initiated and launched the South African Spelling Bee in 2010 as part of its literacy enhancement programmes. with 8 other countries. The SASB is now the largest spelling bee of its kind in the country.
The vision of the South African Spelling Bee is to give every African Child the opportunity to reach their full potential and become an asset to their communities, nations, and continent.
